Available on the Pro, Teams, and Enterprise plans.
The Zapier integration connects Wave to 6,000+ apps through Zapier’s automation platform. When contacts are created, updated, or deleted in Wave, Zapier triggers your Zaps automatically, enabling workflows like adding contacts to a spreadsheet, sending Slack notifications, creating tasks in your project management tool, and more.
How to Connect
Open the integration
Go to Integrations → Zapier.
Copy your API key
Copy your Wave API Key shown on the page.
Open Zapier
Click Open Zapier to go to the Wave Connect app on Zapier.
Authenticate
In Zapier, paste your API key when prompted to authenticate.
Build your Zap
Build your Zap using one of the available Wave triggers.
Available Triggers
| Trigger | When it fires |
|---|
| Contact created | A new contact is added to Wave |
| Contact updated | An existing contact’s details change |
| Contact deleted | A contact is removed from Wave |
Each event includes the contact’s full details: name, emails, phones, company, job title, city, website, note, and any custom fields.
Features
- Real-time triggers: Zaps fire as soon as a Wave contact event occurs.
- Multiple Zaps: connect multiple Zaps to the same Wave account (one per trigger type).
- Auto-sync on connect: optionally send all existing Wave contacts to Zapier when you first connect.
Limitations & Requirements
- A Zapier account is required. Some Zap features require a paid Zapier plan.
- This integration can be connected at the user or team level.
Disconnecting
Go to Integrations → Zapier and click Disconnect. This deletes your Wave API key and removes all registered Zapier webhook URLs. Active Zaps that relied on Wave will stop triggering.
