How to Connect
Wave requests permission to read and write contacts and leads, and to read users (to assign ownership).
What Gets Synced
Each Wave contact creates a Person record and a linked Lead record. Person record| Wave field | Pipedrive field |
|---|---|
| First name + last name | name |
| All emails (with primary flag) | emails |
| All phone numbers (with primary flag) | phones |
| Assigned team member | owner_id (matched by email) |
| Wave field | Pipedrive field |
|---|---|
| Name + job title + company | Lead title |
| Linked Person | person_id |
| Lead source | Wave Connect channel |
| Assigned team member | owner_id (matched by email) |
Features
- Person + Lead: each Wave contact creates both a Person and a Lead, so contact details and the pipeline opportunity stay linked.
- Auto-sync on connect: import all existing Wave contacts on first connection.
- Owner assignment: contacts are assigned to the Pipedrive user whose email matches the Wave team member.
- Deduplication: Wave stores the Pipedrive record IDs for each contact and updates existing records rather than creating duplicates.
Limitations & Requirements
- Owner matching is by email. If a team member’s email doesn’t match any Pipedrive user, the record is created without an owner.
