Available on the Teams and Enterprise plans. This is an organization-level integration, configured by an admin.
The Gmail Signature integration pushes your Wave email signature template directly into Google Workspace users’ Gmail send-as settings. When a signature template is updated in Wave, all connected Gmail accounts are updated automatically, with no manual copy-pasting required.
How to Connect
Open the integration
Go to Integrations → Gmail Signature (admin only).
Connect with an admin account
Click Connect and sign in with a Google Workspace admin account.
Authorize Wave
Authorize Wave to manage Gmail signature settings and read the directory.
Select a template
Select which signature template to push.
Sync
Click Sync to push signatures to all matching users.
Wave requests permission to write Gmail send-as signatures and read-only access to your Google Workspace directory (to look up users).
What Gets Synced
| Wave data | Gmail field |
|---|
| Rendered HTML signature (from template) | Gmail send-as signature (primary and default) |
Sync direction: Wave → Gmail (outbound only)
When: On-demand (manually triggered, or automatically when a template is updated)
Features
- Bulk sync: push the signature to all matching users in one click.
- Automatic updates: when you update a Wave signature template, all Gmail signatures are refreshed.
- User matching: Wave matches team members to Google Workspace directory entries by email address.
Limitations & Requirements
- Requires a Google Workspace domain with admin access.
- Only users whose Wave email matches a Google Workspace directory entry receive the signature.
- This is an organization-level integration. Individual team members do not connect separately.
Disconnecting
Go to Integrations → Gmail Signature and click Disconnect. This removes the integration and revokes Wave’s access. Signatures already pushed to Gmail are not removed.
