Here's my take, I found Wave’s onboarding process to be the simplest in comparison to other digital business cards. You can create a free profile on Wave in just two minutes or less, and it is very easy to set up and use. You can start sharing your information instantly by using your QR code, sending your card via SMS or Email, or adding it to your Apple or Google wallet. I have to say that the look and feel of their profiles are very professional and would be suitable for most business environments.
Wave offers a free, PRO (for individuals) and Teams (for businesses) plans for more advanced features such as Active Directory and SSO capabilities.
With the free plan, you can share your company logo, unlimited websites, contact information, gallery, and social media. This is more than enough for most individual professionals as it gives you all the necessary features to put your best foot forward. You can also add a background image with your company logo, which is not a feature that is always available on other digital business cards.
It’s probably important to mention that Wave gives you, as a free user, the ability to scan traditional paper business cards, add widgets, and store an unlimited number of contacts (which, in my opinion, is one of the most important features for a professional networking tool.)
The PRO plan costs only $4.99 and provides you access to quite a lot of fancy features such as CRM integration, analytics tracking, and the ability to add a video intro to your profile (I found this to be really impressive.) It’s also good to note that this is the most affordable plan I’ve found during the review process so far.
One of the notable features of the PRO plan is the ability to change the way you share your information in the settings. Once you upgrade to this plan, you can set the following modes:

My Experience With HiHello
After trying HiHello, I can conclude that the profile does everything you need it to do. It has contact-sharing capabilities, like the option to download or exchange contact info (one of the key use cases). They’ve also implemented a pretty user-friendly design and provided us with the ability to personalize our content with the basic information.
I’ve added my profile below so you can take a look at the user interface and how a HiHello profile actually looks. 😎
I personally liked the look and feel, though I can understand that it may look somewhat childish or unprofessional in a business setting (with the flashy purple profile.) 🟪 Unfortunately, there was no way to adjust that design aspect unless you’ve paid for their subscription.
After testing the app further, I have to say that it does make it very easy to share your digital business card by simply clicking the “SEND” button. I was also able to add multiple contact details (such as phone, email address, etc.), social media links (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), and other content pieces that provide the people I meet with a better overview of my professional identity. Alright… let’s get started with my review of Blinq. In my opinion, they’ve taken a whole new approach to minimalism. The free card features that are provided are extremely bare-bone (meaning there’s not much to do on the app.) Like seriously… you can add your contact info, social media, websites…and that’s pretty much it. 🧘🏼
The app and website design is pretty straightforward, allowing us (the users) to create very simple-looking landing pages (Check my profile out below.)
It’s good to note that they give you the option to share your digital business card via QR code, text, and email. I also noticed they have dynamic email signatures, which is great and all, but i’m here for a digital business card! There are many free email signature tools out there already (like HubSpot’s free signature tool.)

My take on my Popl experience — Popl looks like a leader in the space and is known for its NFC-enabled products and customizable landing pages. You have the ability to share information instantly with a simple tap of your card or scan of the QR code.
I was most impressed with the landing page offered by Popl, as it stands out from the rest. It includes a list of features such as embedding videos, adding payment options, photos, and customizable links to tailor it perfectly to your brand. The pro version’s dual profile feature is particularly useful for those juggling multiple roles or attending different types of events.
🚩 However, there is one glaring red flag… you need to pay their subscription base service to store more than 5 contacts, and that comes at a steep $7.99 and $14.99 per month. In my opinion, having unlimited contacts should be a free feature, and it’s one of the most important features to have. You do not want to be in a situation where you meet 20 important leads at an event and you’re forced to pay a subscription to unlock them.
My Final Review and Thoughts on Popl
My final thoughts based on my personal experience: Popl digital business card excels in offering a great user experience, a lot of customization options, and a HUGE range of NFC products. Its products, coupled with a highly customizable profile page, would position it as one of the best digital business card…as long as the contacts were not limited.
However, if you are willing to pay $179.88/ year for the advanced features and a richer experience, I find Popl would be a great addition to your networking tools.
5. Mobilo
Mobilo is a great option for a sales team, with a lot of analytics and tracking needed. However, for the individual business professional, the customization is very limited, and the features could be considered “too much.” 🏅

My take with Mobilo: So, they do stand out from the rest because of their integration capabilities and individual dashboard analytics/overview. The dashboard for individuals gives you quite a lot of visibility on the number of leads you’ve collected, notes taken, and the location where you met the contact (phone GPS needs to be turned ON.) They also make it easy to exchange information with profile visitors and capture leads.
Here are a few cool features I found during my review: Mobilo’s digital business card comes with multiple modes, allowing you to switch between a business card, a website landing page, and a lead generation page. This flexibility 🤸🏼♀️ is pretty neat when you’re looking to adapt to different networking scenarios.
Here’s how I would use the feature. If I’m attending a networking event, I would turn the business card or lead generation page ON. Once I’m done with the event, I’ll toggle the website landing page ON — so that I can share more information on my page. If you don’t feel like constantly switching modes, I’d keep the business card or lead generation page ON indefinitely.
Additionally, the ability to track all my networking results and automatically follow up with leads really helps with the lead-generation process. Who wants to remember to follow up with 100s of people on your contact list when it can be automated? 🤖
However, here’s where their digital business card falls short. You’ll see in the image of my profile below that they are missing a lot of customization and a touch of branding. It feels like the landing page is plain and lacks any personalization…
My Final Review and Thoughts on Mobilo
I also wasn’t too happy with the fact that you need to purchase a card to try their platform. Seriously, you can’t create an account unless you purchase a card. The bar is set so high for digital business cards (with all the competition) that you should give your potential customers the option to try your product for free before making a purchase. The fact that there are no free trials or plans might be a barrier for some business professionals. Though, I understand what they are going for with the one-time purchase model.
Mobilo also has a team dashboard that integrates with third-party tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, and Zapier for larger enterprises. Their physical NFC cards, particularly the metal ones, are good quality based on the reviews they have on their website.
Overall, Mobilo’s solution is great for lead generation and networking. Its no-subscription model for personal use and customizable NFC products make it a SUPER unique and cost-effective choice in the market. While it may not offer the same level of customization and branding as the other competitors, it is still a great option that I highly recommend.
6. Uniqode
Uniqode has a more sophisticated dashboard that can only be accessed via a desktop — which is why Idecided to review them. They also only have a paid option at $6/month… which is a bit of a bummer. There are many free digital business cards out there for individuals, and this is not the one for you if you want a that option. 🏅

My Experience With Uniqode
Here are my thoughts: Uniqode stands out for one reason only, their highly customizable QR codes. After a more thorough review, I noticed the Uniqode’s initial business model was providing custom QR codes to businesses and individuals (they’re competing with the likes of Adobe.) They then added a digital business card feature to their product line… and that's the problem. It’s hard to compete with the others providers on this review list because their MAIN business model is to provide the best digital business card. PERIOD.
Now, from my perspective, it seems like Uniqode is better suited for business and enterprise clients and not individual professionals. The features they like to speak about on their website are more along the lines of bulk card creation, CRM integrations, and HR integrations.
For individual users, you only get to create digital landing page and attach the QR code to your Apple and Android Wallets, though there is no mobile app. This means no push notifications, no way to easily access your contacts, and much, much more. I believe you should give users the option to download an app if they would like to. 🤷🏼♀️
However, and this is a big PLUS — they do take security seriously, which is a significant benefit. I took a look and they are SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
🔥 Hot take: Bulk card creation, CRM integrations, and HR integrations, which are boasted by Uniqode, are provided by most of the other digital business card providers when upgrading to a business or enterprise plan. I do not see the additional benefit or value that Uniqode adds to the space with that feature set. I find they may have missed the mark here and only focused on selling digital biz cards to companies… but ultimately, an individual will use the digital tool at an event.
My Final Review and Thoughts on Uniqode
Since Uniqode’s main focus is QR codes, they are pretty advanced in comparison to the other providers out there. You can customize their shape, color, and add a logo. You also have the ability to track quite a lot of statistics and data. Some of that data includes total QR scans and location data. It’s unfortunate that they do not have features like adding video embeds, background images, or the choice of NFC physical cards.
While they may not offer the widest range of business card landing page design options for the end users, Uniqode is a solid option for businesses that prioritize security, simplicity, and the power of QR codes in their toolset. With it’s bulk creation feature, security compliance, and integration with numerous CRMs… It makes a great choice for companies looking to digitize their business cards efficiently.
