The short version: there are 21 major AI conferences scheduled in the United States between now and the end of 2027. The largest by attendance are Ai4 (Las Vegas, August 2027, 20,000+), AWS re:Invent (Las Vegas, November 2026) and NVIDIA GTC (San Jose, March 2027). For AI engineers specifically the strongest are the AI Engineer World's Fair and ODSC; for research it is NeurIPS and CVPR. Every date was read off the organizer's own site on September 23, 2026.
People search for a generative AI summit or expo as though one definitive event exists. It does not. Generative AI content is spread across four different kinds of event, and which one you want depends entirely on your job.
If you are deploying AI in a business, go to the applied events (Ai4, The AI Summit New York, HumanX, Gartner). If you run a specific cloud, go to that platform's conference. If you build models, go to the engineering events (AI Engineer World's Fair, ODSC, MLOps World). If you publish, go to NeurIPS or CVPR. This page is grouped that way.
AI has more new conferences than any other category we track, and a lot of them are one-off events that will not run twice. The ones below have either an established history or a confirmed forward date on the organizer's own site.
Below is the full calendar in date order first, then the same events grouped by who they are for. If you exhibit rather than attend, the last section is the one to read.

What changed on this page
This page was rebuilt rather than updated. Every event on the previous version had either already happened or moved outside the United States.
AAAI, ICML, ACM FAccT and World Summit AI Americas all hold their next edition outside the United States. They are the most commonly listed AI conferences on U.S. roundups, and listing them here would send you to the wrong continent.
NeurIPS and CVPR remain, and both have confirmed U.S. dates: NeurIPS runs an Atlanta satellite in December 2026, and CVPR 2027 is in Seattle, June 20 to 25.
Oracle rebuilt and renamed its flagship around AI. The 2026 edition runs October 25 to 28 in Las Vegas. Searching the old name will not find it.
Ray Summit, the AI and the Future of Work Conference and the Responsible AI Summit North America have all run their latest edition without publishing a next one. They are left off rather than listed with a guessed date.

How to choose which one to attend
AI conferences are the easiest category to waste money on, because the names all sound similar and the audiences are completely different. A research conference and an enterprise summit share almost no attendees.
Ai4, The AI Summit New York, HumanX and the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit are built for enterprise buyers. Vendor floors, case studies and procurement-relevant content.
Go with a shortlist. These floors are crowded with companies whose demos look identical.
The AI Engineer World's Fair, ODSC and MLOps World are practitioner events with hands-on tracks. NeurIPS and CVPR are where the research is presented first.
Cheaper than the enterprise events, and the hallway conversations are with people solving the same problems.
One warning specific to this category: a large share of AI events are first editions with no track record, run by organizers who have never staged a conference before. Before booking travel for an event you have not heard of, check whether it has run previously and who is behind it. The established events on this page all have a history or a named organizer with other shows.
If you are exhibiting rather than attending
AI floors are the most crowded and least differentiated of any category. At Ai4 or re:Invent your booth sits among hundreds of companies making broadly similar claims, and the visitor has seen a dozen agent demos before reaching you.
The follow-up is what decides the return. A team scans several hundred badges across four days, the file arrives the following week as a spreadsheet of names and titles, and by the time anyone works out which are real buyers the conversation has gone cold. The scanning is not the problem. The gap between the scan and a complete, CRM-ready record is.
