Marketing Conferences & Trade Shows in the U.S. (2026-2027)

Marketing Conferences & Trade Shows in the U.S. (2026-2027)

The short version: there are 50 major marketing conferences and trade shows scheduled in the United States between now and the end of 2027. The largest by attendance are Advertising Week New York (October 2026), SXSW (March 2027), Shoptalk and Dreamforce. The most important for brand marketers specifically is ANA Masters of Marketing (Orlando, October 2026), and the name change to know is UNBOUND, the conference HubSpot used to call INBOUND (Boston, September 2027). Every date below was read off the organizer's own site on September 20, 2026.

What makes this list different

Most marketing conference roundups are last year's list with the year changed in the title. Several events that still appear on those lists no longer exist in the form they describe: VidCon has left Anaheim, MozCon is no longer a U.S. event, and INBOUND has been renamed.

This page covers the next twelve to fifteen months rather than a single calendar year, because that is the window you actually plan travel and budget against. It is rebuilt against source sites rather than edited in place.

If you are planning a conference calendar, the hard part is not finding events. It is finding out which ones still run, when they run next, and whether the dates you were given six months ago are still true. Organizers move shows, merge them and rename them, and most published calendars never catch up.

Everything below is organized two ways. First the full calendar in date order, so you can see what collides with what. Then the same events grouped by discipline, with detail on each one. If you exhibit rather than attend, the last section is the one to read.

Every event below takes place in the United States and starts on or after September 20, 2026. Dates in the table are the organizer's own published dates as of that date.

Dates verified against each organizer's own website on September 20, 2026. Conferences do move. Check the official site before booking flights, and treat any date more than six months out as provisional.

Four changes worth knowing before you plan

These are the differences between this calendar and the ones that have been circulating since the start of 2026. Each one will send you to the wrong city or the wrong website if you miss it.

INBOUND is now UNBOUND

HubSpot has renamed its flagship conference. The 2027 edition runs as UNBOUND in Boston on September 8 to 10, 2027. The old name still appears on most third-party calendars and in a lot of internal planning documents.

Content Marketing World and VidCon are merging into a new festival

LIONS is combining Content Marketing World, TMRE: The Market Research Event and expertise from WARC, Contagious and Effie into a North American festival called Insight to Impact. It debuts in Denver in October 2026 and moves to Nashville in fall 2027.

VidCon leaves Anaheim after its 2026 edition and returns inside that festival as VidCon x LIONS Creators. If VidCon Anaheim is on your 2027 plan, it is not happening.

SMX Advanced runs twice in 2027

Search Engine Land is running two SMX Advanced events in its twentieth anniversary year: San Diego on March 17 to 19 and Boston on September 20 to 22, 2027. Previous years had one.

MozCon is no longer a U.S. conference

MozCon now runs as a single-day roadshow, and the next edition is in London on November 13, 2026. It has been a fixture of U.S. search conference lists for over a decade, and it no longer belongs on one.

General & Flagship conferences

3 days · hybrid · Client-side members attend free; other pricing not stated

The ANA's technology track, aimed at client-side marketers who have to turn AI pilots into production work. Skip if: you need structured agendas and measurable lead capture rather than serendipitous discovery

A brand and media conference that has grown quickly by pulling in senior marketers from large advertisers. Format is closer to a festival than a training event, with a strong emphasis on scheduled meetings. Dates and registration on the POSSIBLE site.

Best for: brand-side CMOs and media leads booking partner and agency conversations at scale
Skip if: you want tactical workshops and takeaways rather than a calendar of executive meetings

Gartner Marketing Symposium/Xpo

Gartner's conference for CMOs and their direct reports, built on the firm's research agenda. Expensive, and priced for enterprise budgets, but the one-to-one analyst meetings included with a ticket are the real reason to attend. Dates and registration on the Gartner Marketing Symposium/Xpo site.

Best for: enterprise CMOs and VPs wanting private analyst sessions to validate strategy and vendor choices
Skip if: you need tactical how-to workshops rather than research briefings and advisory conversations

B2B & Demand Gen conferences

Built for B2B marketers specifically: pipeline, ABM, content that has to survive a procurement cycle. If you sell to businesses, this is the densest cluster of relevant events on the calendar.

GTM2026 by Pavilion

Dates: September 28 to October 1, 2026
Location: New York, NY
Venue: The Glasshouse

4 days · in-person · 1,000+ attendees

Pavilion's flagship conference for VP and above go-to-market operators in B2B tech. It caps attendance to keep the room senior, which makes it one of the better events for peer benchmarking on quota, comp and pipeline structure rather than tactics. Dates and registration on the GTM2026 by Pavilion site.

Best for: VP and C-level B2B revenue leaders benchmarking comp, quota and pipeline models with peers
Skip if: you are an individual contributor or seeking hands-on playbooks and vendor demos

3 days · in-person · tickets from $1,595

Best for: demand gen and revenue leaders already running account-based programs on 6sense
Skip if: you're still evaluating vendors or need a beginner's grounding in buyer signals

B2B Marketing Exchange (B2BMX)

Location: Carlsbad, CA
Venue: Omni La Costa Resort

3 days · in-person · 1,000+ attendees · tickets from $1,495

Three days built specifically around B2B content, demand generation and ABM. The Killer Content Awards make the case studies unusually concrete, and the resort setting keeps attendees on site rather than scattering into a city. Dates and registration on the B2B Marketing Exchange site.

Best for: demand gen and ABM leaders who want proven campaign playbooks from peer practitioners
Skip if: you sell to consumers or need deep martech tooling instruction over strategy

Forrester B2B Summit North America

Location: San Mateo, CA
Venue: San Mateo County Event Center

2 days · in-person · 10,000+ attendees

Best for: SaaS founders and revenue leaders scaling pipeline, pricing, and go-to-market motions
Skip if: you need channel-level tactics and hands-on workshops rather than executive scaling talks

Location: Boston, MA

3 days · in-person · tickets from $1,249

HubSpot's flagship conference, renamed UNBOUND from 2027. Large, well-produced and increasingly focused on AI in go-to-market. Note the name change when you search for it, and that the 2026 edition ran under the old name. Dates and registration on the UNBOUND site.

Best for: revenue and marketing ops leaders mapping AI into HubSpot-driven go-to-market motions
Skip if: you need vendor-neutral tactics rather than a platform's own ecosystem and roadmap

The buying side of marketing. Programmatic, measurement, identity and the policy work that governs all three.

Programmatic I/O New York

Dates: September 28-29, 2026
Location: New York, NY

2 days · in-person

AdExchanger's programmatic conference and the closest thing the ad tech industry has to a required annual meeting. Two dense days on buying, measurement and the identity problem, with an audience of brand, agency, publisher and platform leaders rather than generalist marketers. Dates and registration on the Programmatic I/O New York site.

Best for: programmatic buyers, publisher monetization leads and ad tech execs tracking identity shifts
Skip if: you run brand or content marketing and never touch the supply chain

IAB Annual Leadership Meeting

Best for: ad tech and publisher executives tracking privacy, identity and measurement rules early
Skip if: you need tactical campaign tips or a practitioner-level workshop track

Location: Denver, CO
Venue: Colorado Convention Center

3 days · hybrid · tickets from $999

The long-running content marketing conference, now running alongside TMRE: The Market Research Event as the debut of a combined festival. Two conference days plus a workshop day. If you have been before, expect a broader agenda than the classic content-only program. Dates and registration on the Content Marketing World site.

Skip if: you need a large expo floor, vendor meetings, or big-name keynote star power

Social Media Marketing World

Dates: April 1-3, 2027
Location: Anaheim, CA
Venue: Anaheim Convention Center

3 days · hybrid · tickets from $497

Dates: November 5-6, 2026
Location: Durham, NC
Venue: Bay 7

2 days · in-person · About $1,074

Skip if: you need a sprawling vendor floor to shortlist retail tech platforms

Event & Experiential Marketing conferences

Conferences for marketers who run events, booths and experiential programs. If you exhibit at anything on this page, these are the events that teach you how to do it better.

IMEX America

Location: Las Vegas, NV
Venue: Mandalay Bay

3 days · in-person · 6,000+ decision makers · 3,700+ exhibitors · free to attend

The largest U.S. trade show for the meetings and events industry. If your job includes booking venues, running roadshows or choosing event technology, this is the buying floor. Qualified hosted buyers attend free, which is worth checking before you pay. Dates and registration on the IMEX America site.

Best for: planners and event marketers sourcing venues, suppliers and event tech in one week
Skip if: you want craft-level sessions on campaign strategy rather than supplier meetings

PCMA Convening Leaders

Location: Miami Beach, FL
Venue: Miami Beach Convention Center

4 days · in-person · 4,400+ attendees · tickets from $999

Best for: in-house event program owners rethinking meeting formats, venue contracts and attendee experience
Skip if: you sponsor events for leads rather than produce them yourself

EXHIBITORLIVE

Dates: February 15-18, 2027
Location: Denver, CO
Venue: Colorado Convention Center

Skip if: you want broader brand or field marketing strategy beyond the show floor

Venue: MGM Grand Las Vegas

3 days · in-person · 1,000+ attendees · tickets from $1,700

The largest training event for experiential and event marketers, run by Event Marketer. Sessions are built around real campaign teardowns with budgets attached, which is rare and genuinely useful for planning. Dates and registration on the Experiential Marketing Summit site.

Best for: brand and event marketers benchmarking activation budgets before building next year's experiential plan
Skip if: you need vendor sourcing or a packed exhibit floor rather than classroom-style sessions

MPI World Education Congress (WEC)

Dates: June 28-30, 2027
Location: Las Vegas, NV

3 days

Meeting Professionals International's annual congress, focused on the craft of designing and running events. Useful for marketers who own an event program and want the planner's perspective on it. Dates and registration on the MPI World Education Congress site.

Best for: in-house event marketers who own owned-event programs and want planner-side execution skills
Skip if: you want demand gen tactics or martech buying, not meeting logistics and production

Digital Summit: the nine-city regional series

Digital Summit is the exception on this page. Rather than one annual conference it runs a two-day event in nine U.S. cities across the year, with a largely consistent format and a regional audience. That makes it the cheapest way to get a team in front of good digital marketing content without a long flight, and the easiest to justify for junior staff.

The ANA conference circuit

The Association of National Advertisers runs more U.S. marketing conferences than any other organization, and most calendars list only its flagship. Its full published schedule is below. Client-side ANA members attend many of these at no extra cost, which changes the budget math considerably if your company is already a member.

How to choose which ones to attend

Nobody attends fifty conferences. The useful question is which two or three earn the budget, and that depends far more on what you need out of them than on which has the best speaker list.

Go to learn

Pick the specialist events. MarketingProfs B2B Forum, Tech SEO Connect, MAICON and Experiential Marketing Summit all run practitioner-led sessions with takeaways you can use the following week.

Smaller rooms, cheaper tickets, and speakers you can actually reach afterwards.

Go to meet people

Pick the large, meeting-driven events. Advertising Week New York, Shoptalk, Affiliate Summit and POSSIBLE are built around scheduled meetings and expo floors rather than lecture halls.

Book the calendar before you arrive. Turning up without meetings booked is how people conclude that conferences do not work.

A practical budget note: the published ticket price is rarely the real cost. Add flights, three or four nights of conference-rate hotel, and the days your team is not doing their normal job. For a large show in Las Vegas or New York, a realistic all-in figure per person is two to three times the ticket.

If you are going to be in the room, it is worth preparing properly. We have separate guides on how to network at a conference, what to take with you in a conference packing list, and how to follow up after an event once you are home with a stack of contacts.

If you are exhibiting rather than attending

Exhibiting changes the economics completely. Booth space, build, shipping, staffing and lead retrieval typically run several times the cost of sending the same people as attendees, and the return depends almost entirely on what happens to the leads afterwards.

The failure mode is consistent across every show on this list. A team scans a few hundred badges, the file arrives days later as a spreadsheet with names and job titles and nothing else, and by the time anyone enriches it and writes the follow-up the prospect has forgotten the conversation. The scanning is not the problem. The gap between the scan and a usable, enriched record is.

We wrote about this in more depth in our guides to capturing leads at a trade show and measuring trade show ROI. There is also a comparison of the tools teams use for lead capture at trade shows, and a roundup of booth ideas that actually attract visitors.

Wave Connect scans badges and paper cards, enriches each contact into a CRM-ready record, and syncs to HubSpot or Salesforce before the show closes.
