# Custom Domains

> Use your own domain for Wave profiles and sharing links

<Info>
  Available on the **Enterprise** plan.
</Info>

With custom domains, your team's Wave profiles use your company's domain instead of the default `wavecnct.com`. For example, profiles would be accessible at `card.yourcompany.com/username` instead of `wavecnct.com/username`.

## Benefits

* **Brand consistency**: Profiles use your company's domain
* **Professional appearance**: Sharing links match your brand
* **Trust**: Recipients see a familiar domain when receiving your card

## Setup

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose your subdomain">
    Decide on the subdomain you want to use (e.g., `card.yourcompany.com`, `connect.yourcompany.com`).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Contact Wave support">
    Reach out to your account manager with your desired subdomain.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure DNS">
    Add the CNAME record provided by Wave to your domain's DNS settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify">
    Wave verifies the DNS configuration and activates your custom domain.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## DNS Configuration

Add the following CNAME record to your domain's DNS:

| Type  | Host                              | Value                    |
| ----- | --------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| CNAME | `card` (or your chosen subdomain) | Provided by Wave support |

<Note>
  DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though most changes take effect within a few hours.
</Note>

## After Setup

Once your custom domain is active:

* All team members' profiles are accessible at your custom domain
* Existing `wavecnct.com` links continue to work and redirect to your custom domain
* NFC cards and QR codes are updated to use the new domain
* Email signatures and shared links automatically use the new domain
